Ergonomic Assessment
It’s been repeatedly shown that poorly designed ergonomics in the workplace can result in productivity decline, injury, and disability. To ensure that equipment and processes are properly engineered for maximum operator health, safety, comfort, and production, AllOne Health provides a broad spectrum of ergonomic consulting and training services.
Our individual 20-minute ergonomic assessments highlight the ergonomic areas that typically affect office workers’ back and neck health and well-being. We start by observing the individual’s working posture and mechanics. Back and neck strain and wrist pain are three things in particular that we look for since these are the most common complaints that affect a worker’s productivity. We can also evaluate and assess manufacturing and shipping areas.
We also offer a one-hour training session geared to managers, supervisors and employees that focuses on safe working postures, frequent stretches and proper lifting and material handling techniques. Information covered in the training includes:
- Overview of ergonomics
- Proper ergonomic design measures
- Stretching examples
AllOne Health conducts all employee trainings and individual worksite analyses in accordance with OSHA ergonomic guidelines. OSHA’s guidelines include the four recommended ergonomic program elements: worksite analysis, hazard prevention, medical management, and training and education. From computer workstation assessments and industrial process and tool evaluations, our recommended changes have resulted in significant reductions in injury, absence, and disability, as well as enhanced employee health and satisfaction.
