Substance Abuse Professional Services
AllOne Health provides expert Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) services for employees covered under U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Our DOT-qualified SAPs evaluate, refer, and monitor the treatment of employees who test positive for alcohol and/or controlled substance use, refuse to be tested, or who violate other provisions of the DOT rules. When an AllOne Health SAP is called in, they will:
- Evaluate the seriousness of the problem during a face-to-face meeting with the employee
- Provide treatment or education recommendations based on that clinical evaluation
- Send an initial report to the employer
- Refer the employee to appropriate services
- Monitor the employee’s participation in treatment or education
- Re-evaluate the employee's progress following treatment or education
- Determine a follow-up testing plan
- Send a follow-up report to the employer
DOT-qualified psychologists, social workers, EAP professionals or alcohol/drug abuse counselors provide AllOne Health’s SAP services. These professionals have knowledge and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of alcohol and drug-related disorders as well as knowledge of appropriate treatment or educational programs. All DOT regulations are strictly followed.
We recognize that the DOT rules and workplace policies provide an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of employees who otherwise would not seek assistance. We’ve served hundreds of employers by managing thousands of positive drug test cases since the rules were put into place in the 1990’s. The result is safer and more productive work environments, and healthier employees who had a chance to effectively deal with their substance use.
